Higher education student and staff mobility project
Start date: Jun 1, 2014, End date: May 31, 2016 PROJECT  FINISHED

1. The background of the project can be described as follows: One of the EUAS main strategic goal is the increase internationalisation. Internationalisation is a key feature of EUAS strategy. That means Increasingly diverse number of foreign student choosing to study in the EUAS and on the other hand to increase number of outgoing students and teachers. We have started three new study programs in English since the next study year. At the same time it has to be considered that the university is really small, the number of the students is about 1000. And most of our students are family persons, who need to take care of their children, to work and to study at the same time. It makes very complicated living from home for some longer period. Due to it EUAS has problems with finding out going students. 2.. One of the main objectives of EUAS for 2014-2020 is to be more pro-active and increase its participation in Erasmus+ mobility programs. The EUAS has 25 Inter-institutional agreements with educational institution from 12 European countries. 3. In the field of increasing the mobility of teaching staff the EUAS have been more active than previous periods. Totally 5 teaching mobility and 2 staff mobility were carried out. The aims of teaching mobility were practicing and sharing knowledge in the field of business studies and administration. The participants were intermediate level persons teaching on bachelors level. In addition to teaching aims the communication with the teachers from different universities was priority. The mobility was also used for introducing and promoting the unique study possibilities in our university like start up study program etc. One of the priorities of the participants of teaching as well as staff training mobility was finding the possibilities for further cooperation. For example, the result of such communication is good cooperation in triple study program together with Vilnius University of Applied Sciences in Vilnius, Lithuania and Polytechnic Institute of Porto in Lisbon, Portugal. Teaching mobility was integrated with learning, e.g. teaching strategic management course was integrated with learning how to use creativity in teaching process. As the result of this cooperation 15 students from Lithuania carried out their internship in Estonian enterprises. 4. Considering the long-term benefits the triple study program helped and also pushed the EUAS to open our first international curriculum which is named Creativity and Business Innovation (CBI). In long-term this makes the school attractive and gives possibility for incoming students. Since the autumn 2016 we have opened already three study programs in English, International Finance and Startup Entrepreneurship in addition to CBI program. 5. To increase the English language proficiency of our students and to make the study process more various teachers from partner schools have been invited to teach. During the last academic year three Erasmus+ visitor lecturers participated in our study process.
