Higher education student and staff mobility project

Background: In 2014, we had a very substantial rise of international mobilities at ISAG. We consider that it was a sucessful year, since we accomplished that main qualitative and quantitative objetives of the project. Our precedent of fewer international mobilities was change, mobility flows without precedent were achieved. Objectives: This international mobility ris eis one of the main objectives of ISAG, making parto f the strategic plano f our institution, mainly in the part especifically related to the internationalization of the enterprise. The International relations Office has been rising year after year the number of mobility flows in terms of studies, staff and teachers, at both levels incoming and outgoing. In terms of staff mobility and regarding the participants in the project. It engaged: A total of 46 outgoing mobilities of which 30 belonged to Student Mobility for Traineeship, 7 Student Mobility for Studies, 4 Staff Mobility for Teaching, and 5 Staff Mobility for Training. Activities carried out: Every semester, two information meeting with the whole academic community to learn to explain and presente the Erasmus+ programme with all its peculiarities ans staff/teachers, having been included in a lecture in the Carrer Day (career foire) for the spread of the information related to Erasmus + programme. Throughout the scholar year, we also promote and forecast several Internsive Language Courses (Portuguese, offered to all incoming students, and 6 other languages available for all the students who intend to start na outgoing mobility process). Besides,several activities are organized for our incoming students who are always invited to participate, in cooperation with the ISAG Investigation Branch (NIDISAG) in several studies that are carried out in several events in Porto (i.e. Essência do Vinho, Festa de Outono, Serralves em Festa , Nos Primavera Sound and MEO Marés Vivas). Impact and Result: This project allowed us to push the growing of the international relations of ISAG as can be checked in both flows (IN and OUT). On the other hand, it helped to the internalization of ISAG, and the raised of the multiculturality of our institution, the learning of new teaching methods , the Exchange of experiences amongst students, staff and teachers, the contact with new cultures, the Exchange of pieces of knowledge, the learning and improvement of foreign languages, the academic and profesional valoration and the acquisition of new international experiences.
