Higher education student and staff mobility project
Start date: Jun 1, 2014, End date: Sep 30, 2015 PROJECT  FINISHED

The New Design University has just started to intensify its internationalisation in order to give students and staff the opportunity to spend a semester or a certain period at a different institution abroad. This will enable the participants to deepen their knowledge and to get to know different ways of organising and carrying out certain work processes. Due to the internationalisation the New Design University has signed an Erasmus-contract, implemented an International Office and established structures for the Erasmus+ Programme. The Student Exchange is aimed at giving students the opportunity to spend one semester at a foreign partner university and also to welcome international students at the New Design University to benefit from their knowledge and different perspectives. During this contract period one student completed a student mobility for traineeship at an architectual office in London and two staff mobilities for training (job-shadowing) were also carried out. The international office spent three days job-shadowing at a Partner university in order to learn how to organise the international office efficiently. The second staff mobility was carried out by a member of the teaching staff who also did job-shadowing at a university in Finland.
