Higher education student and staff mobility project
Start date: Jun 1, 2014, End date: May 31, 2016 PROJECT  FINISHED

The Szczecin Academy of Art (PL SZCZECI15) takes part in the Erasmus Programme since 2012. At four faculties of the Academy study about 500 students under the tutelage of approx. 170 teachers. Under the grant agreement 2014 went for study (SMS) 8 students and for training (SMA) 6 students. Whereas among the employees went abroad 5 teachers for teaching (STA). Our Academy visited three students from Czech Republic. At the Academy lectured 5 professors from Czech Republic, Germany and Spain. All of the quantitative indicators included in the agreement with the National Agency has been exceeded about 15%. The aim of the project is to enable students to study in European foreign universities or training in a foreign institution, and for teachers to enable the mobility for teaching and / or training. Besides to quantitative objectives the quality objectives are equally important. They are difficult to measure. Their achievement is examined based on the opinion of the participants. In the case of students it is mainly about the development of social skills and competences; work in a team, in the academic community or in larger community, getting to know other cultures, other ways of teaching, other ways to solve problems. They are the experiences that for the young man are extremely important. Before the mobility students in cooperation with the dean, institutional coordinators of the sending and the receiving university prepare the study programme containing the component titles with the ECTS credits. After the mobility achievements are recognised, recorded in the study record, and after graduation in the diploma supplement. Incoming Students repeatedly pointed to the fact that the main motive of their arrival to the Szczecin Academy of Art were certain professors under which supervision they wanted to study. But perhaps the most important objective of the Erasmus programme is to awaken a sense of a common Europe. A Spain student, she had studied at our Academy wrote in her impressions after the mobility: “I'm really happy with the decision that I made, I think that Erasmus is always a good experience that we should try once. I suggest you to try it, you won't regret it!”
