University of Veterinary Medicine and Pharmacy in Košice is implementing Erasmus at all levels of education and for all employees of the university. The main objective is to continuously increase the quality of education, research, development and services at international level. Cooperation and networking with European and international partners is essential for the ongoing international developments in a multicultural context. Erasmus for its unique features and pioneering initiatives in education is the starting university programs at European level. The exchange program is focused on the acquisition, transfer and evaluation of new knowledge and skills. Transparent use of ECTS is an essential part of student mobility. Mobility of teachers and staff supported international educational projects and international institutional cooperation through internationalization of curriculum and internationalization of research activities.Mobility projects are planned in line with the Erasmus Charter for Higher Education and the European Qualifications Framework. Project Objectives: -developing of new knowledge and skills and their application in practice; -the application of tolerance and democracy in developed multicultural society;-solidarity, sharing single community in the wider European context; -build their own European identity, creating a new generation of Erasmus + on academic level, based on a common culture and education The objectives of student mobility: -to improve and facilitate the transparency of the study; -to recognition of skills and qualifications in practice;- quality assurance recognition of credits in the single credits;-to support skills management and guidance in the practice;-to develop language competences; -digital skills development; Objectives of the mobility of employees: -obtaining and exchange of experience of different teaching methods, curricula and knowledge; -comparison of education system in the partner countries (content and evaluation); -creating strong links with teachers in partner countries; -developing skills in project management, and –EU rules application in the universities and enterprises; -improvement of language skills in the different languages other than English; -motivation to work in an international team, professional training and skills development; -motivation and application of new knowledge, skills, and communication of results of mobility work. UVLF is focused on increasing number of the students involved in to the lifelong learning mobility programs Erasmus +. Mobilities are based on the existing bilateral agreements between the institutions involved in the program and companies focusing on the taught degree programs. Contracts are awarded on the basis of personal contacts, mutual consultations of teaching staff, as well as recommendations provided by the NA Erasmus. Selection process for mobility is managed by institutional Erasmus coordinator. Selection take place at regular intervals 2x per year, with the emphasis on transparency and clarity . Takes place in three rounds in all types of mobility - study, internship, postgraduate practice, teaching and training staff. The results of the selection process of all kinds of mobility are transparently available on the website UVLF (http://www.uvlf.sk/sk/aktuality-erasmus). In the academic year 2014-15 have been implemented within the framework of Erasmus mobility + 44 exchanges - of which 31 students were on the study mobility, 7 internship mobility and 6 employees, 3 training mobility, 3 teacher mobility. The highest interest was Czech, Portugal and Spain. Students were going on mobility studies based on bilateral agreements between universities in Belgium, Czech Republic, Poland, Spain, Portugal, Turkey. The greatest interest in this period was in the Veterinary and Pharmaceutical University in Brno, Czech Republic. Number of incoming students was 29 for study and internship mobility from partner universities from Spain, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Italy, and Turkey. The greatest interest was from Spanish universities. In implementing mobility have been complied with administrative conditions before (signed application, learning agreements, letter of acceptance, agreement on a financial contribution, insurance), during (changes in the contract for study, internships), after (Transcript of Records, internships, certificates of its duration ) mobility. The achieved results show that most students assessed positively stay abroad. The acquired knowledge and skills, including critical thinking and problem solving, enhance their decision-making and skills. This experience will help them in personal and professional growth and career. Outgoing university staff assessed their stay abroad to career development, enhanced the credit of the University at the international level. Employees who participated in the mobility will lead workshops and seminars including experiences from the stay abroad.
