Higher education student and staff mobility project

The University of Bristol is a global top 30 university offering superb facilities with outstanding teaching and research and highly talented students and staff. The University has six faculties which are Arts, Biomedical Sciences, Engineering, Health Sciences Science and Social Sciences and Law. We offer over 200 degree programmes which include courses with study and work abroad. This Erasmus+ mobility project has enabled the University of Bristol to part-fund a large cohort of students to study and work in Europe. We are one of the top 5 participants in Erasmus+ in the UK and during 2014-2015 we have sent a consistently high numbers of students abroad. Our three main objectives in Erasmus+ are: ? To keep the quality of the project at a high level through a network of strong and like-minded partner universities and work placement companies ? To fully prepare our students for their time abroad by providing access to language tuition and pre-departure orientation sessions ? To provide an excellent academic experience for incoming Erasmus+ students This year we have sent 411 students to a European country on Erasmus+. Of these students: ? 75% are students from Modern Languages ? 20% are STEM students ? 54% went on work placements In addition we have also welcomed 283 students to the University of Bristol through the Erasmus+ project through our network of 85 partner universities. The 2014/15 Erasmus+ mobility project has been successful with positive feedback received from students and staff increases in language capability and continual improvements in the quality of the programme.
