Higher education student and staff mobility project

University College of Economics, Entrepreneurship and Management Nikola Subic Zrinski (hereafter UCEEM-NSZ) is based in Zagreb, Croatia, and was founded in 2008. It is a part of Education group Zrinski (hereafter EGZ), which also consists of Private Grammar School and Economic School Katarina Zrinski, and Open University Petar Zrinski. All three institutions are engaged in educational activities that combine theory and practice and educate people through implementation of modern teaching methods for successful integration in the business world primary in the field of entrepreneurship and management of small and medium enterprises. Currently in UCEEM-NSZ there are about 17 employees plus associate lecturers, and 190 students. UCEEM-NSZ currently offers an Undergraduate professional study – “Economy of entrepreneurship” and a Specialist professional graduate study “Small and medium company management” that provides students with entrepreneurial knowledge and skills, which on the one hand increases the longevity of the business organization where they work, and on the other hand contributes to their participation in the social community. Number and type of participants by categories: 1. Staff mobility for Training (Dimitrije Milojevic: Madan Parque, Portugal, and Marina Nikolic: Novia University of Applied Sciences, Finland) 2. Staff mobility for Teaching (Marina Nikolic: GEA Colledge, Slovenia) 3. Student mobility for Studies (Monika Katic: Instituto Universitário da Maia, Portugal) 4. Student mobility for Traineeships (Duska Delic: Instituto de Informática do Porto, Portugal) The mobility project provided opportunities for teachers and non teaching staff to visit foreign institutions of higher education and what is especially important for teachers which got familiar with the teaching methods from other institutions so that they implemented the acquired knowledge and experience upon returning to the University. The purpose was also mainly to promote exchange of outgoing staff mobility for training. This mobility project contributed to the internationalization strategy of the higher education institutions which participated in this project. The aim of the University College Nikola Subic Zrinski in terms of internationalization was to strengthen the existing capacities within the International Office, to promote the cooperation with higher education institutions from programme countries among students and staff, to develop study programmes in English, to increase the international exchange of incoming teachers and to develop joint study programmes with other partner institutions. One important aspect was to support and create a sustainable network of institutions in the field of higher education with focus on mobility projects and other European projects.
