Higher education student and staff mobility project
Start date: Jun 1, 2014, End date: May 31, 2016 PROJECT  FINISHED

The main aim of participation of State University of Applied Sciences in Konin in Erasmus+ Programme was to enable students, teachers and administration to acquaint with cultural diversity, fight stereotypes, prevent racial prejudice and xenophobia, broaden the mind, and experience what is known only in theory. In the framework of the agreement with National Agency our university executed 42 mobilities. The mobilities concerned both students (a study period abroad at a partner higher education institution and a traineeship - work placement - abroad in an enterprise or any other relevant workplace) and staff members (teaching periods and training periods). We sent in total 14 students (12 women and 2 men) to our partner universities for studying. The length of these mobilities amounted 47 months and 17 days. The most popular country chosen by the students was Portugal (9 students), then Germany (2 students), Spain (1 student), Sweden (1 student) and Turkey (1 student). 16 students took part in traineeships (15 women and 1 man). The length of these mobilities amounted 66 months and 11 days. In this case the most popular countries were Spain (11 students), Greece (4 students) and Portugal (1 student). Furthermore we carried out 9 mobilities for our academic staff. Partner universities were visited by our lectures - 3 women and 6 men. The total length of their stay was altogether 43 days. They visited universities from Slovenia (3 people), Lithuania (3 people), Germany (1 person), Croatia (1 person) and Turkey (1 person). We carried out 3 staff mobilities (training periods). Three women spent 16 days abroad altogether. The trainings taken place in partner universities in Portugal (2 people) and Spain (1 person). The result of our participation in the Erasmus+ Programme is the development of the academic staff’s qualifications, further training and advancing the command of foreign languages among our students and the employees. The other important result of taking part in the Erasmus+ Programme is the internationalization of the didactic process by promotion of studying abroad at partner universities and broadening of our educational foreign-language offer. The effect of participation in the Erasmus+ Programme is creating a wide range of options for doing student practices abroad. It contributed to the increase of the number of students willing to gain professional experience in other countries and creating better opportunities for them to function on the international labour market. As a result of taking part in Erasmus+ Programme our school guarantees satisfaction to the students by creating better and better educational foreign-language offer and possibilities of studying abroad. At present, State University of Applied Sciences in Konin can take pride in 60 bilateral agreements with foreign universities. Our School was continuously developing and ensured the best possible start into the professional career for our students. As far as the teaching staff are concerned, the School created possibilities for development and gaining new competences. By staff mobilities and their exchange of good practices in the field of education we improved the functioning of our university. Investment in human resources is very important for the functioning of the university. Participation in the Erasmus+ Programme makes it possible. Taking part in Erasmus+ Programme has an effect on the whole academic community. The influence of the project and its scholars is to notice at the every level of University functioning. Both outgoing and incoming scholars influence progressive development of the University, its international cooperation and increasing of the quality on this area.
