Erasmus+ programme 2014 (duration 01.06.2014-31.05.2016) in Tallinn University of Technology can certainly be classified as successful because both quantitative and qualitative targets were met. During the above mentioned mobility period in total of 380 persons used the option to go abroad via Erasmus+ programme: including 75 students going abroad for traineeship, 191 students for studying, 38 teaching staff members and 76 administrative staff members. For implementation of the Erasmus+ programme, 850 650 were allocated with intended use between 01.06.2014-31.05.2016 of 835 161,35 EUR (98%). In addition to the scholarships provided by the European Commission, additional financial support by Estonian Government was used.
In terms of quantitative targets, the goals set in the initial agreement was exceeded by 39 persons (student mobility for traineeship +12 persons; student mobility for studies +33 persons; staff mobility for training +14 persons; staff mobility for teaching -20 persons as set in the agreement).
We are glad that our students' interest in Erasmus+ programme and in studying abroad is not subsiding as well as the interest in doing internship abroad is rising. At the same time, we truly hope that the interest as well as the courage of our lecturers to go abroad to teach in the coming years will increase significantly, undermining administrative personnel activity and opportunity to participate in mobility programmes.
