Higher education student and staff mobility project

Goal of the project: A fulfillment of the ideas promoted by the Erasmus+ program in the area of strengthening cooperation between the countries of the European Union, as well as other countries. Possibility for our students and employees to gain valuable scientific and professional experience in the international environment Supporting educational exchanges and intercultural relations Observance of the principle “No discrimination and equal chances for all”, including supporting those students and employees who are interested in the Erasmus+ program , who come from misrepresented groups, disabled or remaining in a difficult financial situation Education on a high level of students for the needs of the national, European and regional labour market Improvement in the quality of education through meeting of challenges connected with the Bologna Process as well as successful implementation of solutions posing for the essence of National Qualifications Framework Increasing the student participation in internship as a part of Erasmus+ Strengthening the activities directed to tighten the relationship with the foreign enterprises, in which the students will serve internships Promotion between the teaching staff of the possibility to participate in international projects and thematic network implementing of new programs of studies in the English Language based on the cooperation with universities abroad Implementing e-learning and preparation of programs and their implementation in order to achieve qualifications for issuing the joined diplomas A possibility for the employees of science and didactics, administrative employees and students to transfer experience gained during the Erasmus+ exchange to the Wszechnica Polska University Number and profile of participants The participants of the project are: Students of Wszechnica Polska of all years of study ( mobilities for studies: number 3, mobilities for traineeships: number 7 ) and the science-didactics employees ( number 10 ) and the administrative employees that are professionally active and employed in the Wszechnica Polska ( number 2 ) Description of actions carried out: The University arranged for the mobility of students in the form of study and work practice trips, the mobility of its faculty in the form of teaching assignments at Erasmus plus partner Universities and the mobility of its administrative staff in the form of training courses. The University has joined the Conris thematic network of European Universities offering Internal Security Studies and taking part in the Erasmus plus programme. The University took part in the Eracon and EAIE conferences dedicated to the internationalisation of higher education in Europe.It has concluded Erasmus agreements with new partnership Universities in Italy and Holland. The Erasmus agreements with the Italian Universities pertain to studies in Spanish, English and Russian Philology. The Erasmus agreement with the University in Utrecht covers Internal Security Studies. As part of promoting the Erasmus plus programme information meetings for students and faculty members were organised to present the Erasmus programme. Results and impact The representatives of our University took part in the work of the Conris network aimed at creating common study syllabuses, organisation of summer courses for students and discussion of the conditions of the Erasmus agreements concluded between network members. Thanks to signing the Erasmus agreements with the Italian Universities and the Dutch University the Erasmus exchange of students and faculty of the University has increased. Establishing co-operation with the new partner Universities enabled exchanging academic information concerning methods and programmes of linguistic education, modern aspects of Internal Security. It also allowed discussing the organisation and conduct of joint research projects in the area of foreign languages teaching methodology. Participation of the University in international conferences made it possible to extend the knowledge on internationalisation and establishment of contacts with foreign Universities with whom further Erasmus agreements are to be signed. Participation in the project enabled students to extend their knowledge of the subject of their studies, increased their motivation to learn foreign languages, improved their employment chances thanks to their competencies, better inter-cultural communication, the feeling of belonging to the European community, development of independent thinking. Participation in the project enabled faculty members to develop an innovative approach to teaching, administration staff to increase their professional competencies, gain work experience in an international environment. The project enabled the University to improve the quality and internationalise its education offer, introduce new forms and methods of teaching, strengthen its position as a scientific centre in the domestic and international market.
