Start date: Jun 1, 2014, End date: Sep 30, 2015 PROJECT  FINISHED

The Limassol College is a Higher Education Institution that offers two BSc programs: a) Dietetics and Nutrition b) Aesthetics and Cosmetology The number of students enrolled is about 180. The main objective set in the ECHE was the development and the improvement of teaching, learning, and training and that was successfully achieved via the mobility programs STS, STA, STT. The intercultural skills, the good practices that have been acquired by the students and the staff participants are reflected positively in their academic, professional and social life. The second important objective was successfully achieved was the internalization of the College and its acknowledgement locally and abroad by educational and professional organizations. The number of participants was ten students, eight from the Dietetics and Nutrition Department and two from the Aesthetics Department. They all attended Higher Institutions in Greece for studies. All activities involved in the mobilities have been implemented: Before mobility: 1) Interinstitutional agreements have been signed, with all the necessary terms agreed (number of mobilities, ECTS, mentoring, supervision, acknowledgement) 2) Informative sessions to the students viapresentations and website 3) Applications for interest 4) Criteria - Selection 5) Preparation of learning agreements 6) Communication with the receiving institution 7) Preparation of grant agreements 8) Social and cultural informative sessions 9) Informative sessions with parents and students During mobility: 10) Communication for monitoring and supervision between the two institutions 11) Communication with the students and their tutors 12) Interim reports After mobility: 13) Final reports 14) Assessment of the whole project 15) Dissemination As the Erasmus program was newly introduced to the College, the impact on the participants has been very positive. New experiences in a more competitive environment, enhancing their personal skills (enhancing their self-esteem, their independence, their professional profile) have been an added value. The College has gained a positive reputation for being a European oriented College and this is reflected to the increasing number of students enrolled and the acknowledgment by the Ministry of Education and other professional organizations (e.g. The Minister of Education addressed our Graduation Ceremony, members of the Parliament and local authorities attended it, expressing their pride for the role of the College that plays in the town of Limassol) Our plans for the future are a) sign more interinstitutional agreements with program countries so as to give more options to the students and the staff b) sign interinstitutional agreements with institutions with neighbouring countries, Lebanon, Jordan, Israel c) increase the number of mobilities in studies and traineeship and d) participate in research programs.
