Higher education student and staff mobility project
Start date: Jun 1, 2014, End date: May 31, 2016 PROJECT  FINISHED

The Higher Institute for Communications and Advertising in Paris (ISCOM Paris) has developed internationally since it was accredited as a member of the Erasmus Charter in 2014. Since then, our school is proud to offer international opportunities to its students. In 2014-2015, 58 students were granted financial support to go abroad. This number seems to be a good start as ISCOM’s international policy is quite new. Moreover, Erasmus+ subsidies have only been granted for internships. Since 2015, our school has decided to continue and implement this policy through academic partnerships. In 2015, 3 agreements were signed with countries in Germany and Austria and there have been 6 more recently. A lot of contacts were made with other European universities. They should lead to new collaborations soon. The school’s goal is to continue with this strategy, making sure that all students have had at least one stay abroad during their studies (academic or professional). The first results are a good motivation to go that way. We already have good evidence of the positive consequences of their expatriation: adaptability, good capacity to work in a multicultural environment, improvement of language skills and general knowledge, awareness of international working opportunities (jobs, professional network, etc.). A bigger maturity, increasing autonomy and open-mindedness, better self-confidence are also part of the personal qualities developed by our students, making them happy students.
