Higher education student and staff mobility project
Start date: Jun 1, 2014, End date: May 31, 2016 PROJECT  FINISHED

Since we are a university at which the students are studing in part-time and in parallel to their jobs, the experience during the last few years has shown that our students will not, despite they would like to, go on abroad for the duration of at least half a year, as this would mean giving up their employment. Against this background, we have almost all of the budget unused and step-by-step repaid, in full consultation with the DAAD. Because of this tension, the Provadis School has now taken the path to join the Hessian Erasmus consortium based at the University of Fulda and thus enable the students to stay on abroad for a shorter period of time, which is possible in the new mode. The project could be used to support the so-called Holland exchange program between the Provadis School and the Zuyd-Hogeschool in the Netherlands: During the Holland exchange program joint courses are carried out together with Zuyd-Hogeschool. The students of both universities are getting the opportunity to receive an insight into a university on abroad, to meet foreign students, and to carry out a common project (in english language) together with the foreign students, including the final presentation ans discussion of the results. It is in particular the so-called remote collaboration, which is relevant in an industrial context between international teams located at different places in the world, which is practiced. Thus, the Holland exchange project supports the internationalization of our university and our study program. It is popular with both students and teachers of both countries and is recognized as a success story. The course content of both universities become more similar by this exchange of teachers and by conducting this common lecture.
