Higher education student and staff mobility project
Start date: Jun 1, 2014, End date: May 31, 2016 PROJECT  FINISHED

The project implemented in the academic year 2014/2015 was the first undertaking that was realized in frames of the new edition - ERASMUS+. JDU in Czestochowa continues to set goals - described in "Erasmus Policy Statement" - for further internationalization in the process of research and teaching, and widening the range of international cooperation towards further integration and achieving of specific objectives for cohesion in the educational process, as well as improving and enhancing collaboration with foreign partners. Erasmus+ is one of the instruments that is conducive to this development. Our university took part in two previous editions of the program (starting from 1999, and the first mobilities in 2000). JDU in Czestochowa is still strongly oriented toward developing and strengthening partnerships with international institutions, exchange of scientific experiments and teaching experiences, as well as exchange of students and academic staff. Our university strives to strictly implement the principles written in the Erasmus Charter for Higher Education (ECHE). Particular emphasis is placed on the issue of recognition of the mobility effects of students and staff. In the academic year 2014/2015 in the Erasmus mobility attended 67 people: - student mobility for studies (SMS) - 11 students, - student mobility for traineeship (SMP) - 10 students, - staff mobility for teaching activities- 44 persons, - staff mobility for training activities - 2 persons. As a result, the effects of student mobility were recognized in 100% (SM), as well as academic staff members successfully completed their trips (ST). And despite difficulties in the process of students’ recruitment, thanks to efforts of university authorities, we managed to realize the declared number of mobilities, and even increasing it by 3 persons (staff members) within means obtained from our National Agency. JDU in Czestochowa also hosted 5 students from foreign universities. The university extended its portfolio of bilateral agreements and acquired new partners for cooperation in the framework of Erasmus +. Jan Dlugosz University in Czestochowa, using previous experiences and knowledge, intends to continue participating in the project Erasmus +, to develop cooperation with foreign partner institutions, as well as its further work towards improving the quantity and quality of Erasmus mobility.
