Higher education student and staff mobility project
Start date: Jun 1, 2014, End date: May 31, 2016 PROJECT  FINISHED

The Ecole nationale de formation agronomique -ENFA – is a Higher Education Institution in Agronomy, depending on the french Ministry of Agriculture. Teachers and members of the support staff are the first target of this programme. One of the goals is to develop competences of staff via european mobilities while discovering professional practices which are quite similar to their own practices. The second main goal is to enforce the relationship with partners as companies, Universities… In 2014, 8 members of staff have participated to the programme. Within this group, one teacher benefited of a staff mobility for teaching whereas the others realised a staff mobility for training. As a Higher Education Institution, ENFA welcomes students registered in different fields, mostly connected to agronomy, development of rural territories, agribusiness… the diploma which are proposed are at level L3, M1 & 2. As ENFA is the pilot of a Consortium for Higher Education mobility, only one grant had been required for this programme. The 3 main activities, directly connected to mobility, are the following ones : - preparation : it has been a very important part of the job and took quite a long time for the 3 members of support staff who went in Italy. Usually, the partner is found or contacted thanks to the european network of the International Relations Office. Then, the whole programme of the mobility is negociated by the three parts all together. Then, the beneficiairies are taught about intercultural notions mainly through litterature, films… - during the mobility : the International Relations Office keeps connection with staff during the complete duration of the mobility, in order to react if necessary. Nevertheless, the colleagues perfectly know the phone numbers of ENFA and have the number and references of a local partner if needed, - dissemination : in may 2015, 4 of the 8 participants of 2014 have accepted to testify their experiences to other members of the staff of ENFA. International Relations Office organised an internal conference, to which more than 35 persons were present, could share and ask questions about these mobilities. Globaly, the expected results – both quantitively and qualitatively speaking - of this programme have been reached. 9 mobilities, which was the goal of the contract, have been done and the participants are satisfied or very satisfied by their participation. The planned impact on the staff was also reached : the professionnal interest of the mobilities allowed ENFA to enforce and to develop partnerships with new partners but also to araise consciousness of the members of staff that european mobilities are a very efficient way to improve professionnal skills and competences. Moreover, long term benefits are connected to impact because the number of mobilities should araise again in ENFA in the following years and, thus, enabling it to participe to the ERASMUS+'s goal to enforce the number of european mobilities till 2020.
