Higher education student and staff mobility project
Start date: Jun 1, 2014, End date: Sep 30, 2015 PROJECT  FINISHED

The project started in June 2014 and ended in September 2015. It constitutes a sixteen month action where students were moved for studies and internships, as well as teachers for teaching. The projected mobility places were eight (8) in terms of student mobility for studies and three (3) for internship, while two (2) teachers were able to move for teaching. The rate of absorption of places amounted to 50% for studies, 33% for internships and 100% for teaching respectively. Therefore, the objectives set at the signing of the project were reasonably achieved, if taken into account the lack of staff and the lack of information regarding the new procedure that the aforementioned resulted. More specifically, three (3) women and one (1) man were moved for studies, one (1) woman for internship and, finally, two (2) men for teaching. It seems, then, that there was an equal distribution by gender, although the demand largely depends on the cognitive object. Also, one of the students moved for studies benefited from an additional grant given to large families. Mobility of teaching staff and students takes place primarily in the context of bilateral agreements signed with other educational institutions abroad. The bilateral agreements that were in force during the academic year 2014-2015 amounted to eleven (11) and they were dispersed in seven (7) countries. Students were vitally and completely informed from the website of TEI, the ERASMUS Office and the Departmental Coordinators, whereas the actions of the above brought bilateral agreements with foreign institutions which, we expect to increase during the current academic year. Finally, in terms of incoming students, special care was taken for their support. More specifically, benefits such as a special «ERASMUS» website in English, an English version of the Studies Guide, teaching in English, testing in the above language, informative meetings with the Departmental Coordinators and other benefits such as student ID and library card, contributed substantially to their smooth adjustment.
