ECE Paris School of Engineering is entitled to issue the Master’s Degree of Engineering « Titre d’ingénieur » and to train innovative engineers in the areas of Energy and Environment, Health, Embedded Systems on Aeronautics and Automobile, Information Systems, Cyber-Security, Big Data, Connected Objects and Quantitative Finance. The School has committed to following an international strategy to perpetuate dynamic partnerships established over the years and to developing new ones in accordance with its needs. In line with this strategy, every ECE Paris students must have at least one international experience during their curriculum either for a mobility of studies or a mobility for training. Our Erasmus+ project 14-15 had the following objectives: - Expand the internationalization of our institution - Perpetuate dynamic partnerships and develop new ones - Increase the outgoing mobility in Europe through multiple possibilities of stays - Improve the visibility of ECE Paris in European events as the EAIE, to increase its attractiveness among European students - Improve the quality of the mobilities For the year 2014-2015, our school was granted a subsidy allowing to finance 57 students mobilities of studies and 10 students mobilities of training; 1 teaching mobility and 1 staff mobility for training. ECE Paris set up a plan of continuous evaluation and feedback interviews after the mobilities enabling to measure the impact of the project throughout its implementation. We systematically connect alumnis and the future participants. It facilitates the sharing of experience, eases the impediments and develops Erasmus+ students' network. The impact of the Erasmus + grant on the mobility of every beneficiary is also measured during these interviews. This process also allowed us to pinpoint weaknesses, to highlight axes of improvement and to set up modifications or amelioration: a more upstream communication on the program, a systematic organization of a meeting before departure with the participation of alumni, an adjustment of the follow-up procedure of the study program changes. Looking back to their own experience, when they come back, participants are more likely to become buddies of the Erasmus + incoming students or to get involved in an Erasmus + project or to receive European delegations, which demonstrates an improvement of their motivation and involvement. This project allowed them to use the English language, wich is more and more essential in most occupied positions of their professional life. We noticed an improvement of the practice of this language, an increase of the knowledge of the Erasmus + program as well as the number of teachers involved in this project. For the participants, experiencing an Erasmus + mobility develops a sense of European belonging and to a certain extent strengthens their European citizenship. The international dimension of ECE Paris grows appreciably: increase of the number of incoming students, better consideration of their needs and implementation of potential modifications. The educational innovation improves thanks to our partners best practices and to the investment in cooperation projects. The participation of ECE Paris in the Erasmus + program, anchors it locally, by presenting it to all the stakeholders of our institution. Similarly, it also contributes to the school’s impact at the regional, national and European level. For ECE Paris, the long-term benefits are broadening international perspective, ensuring the continued qualit of existing European connections and forging other links by setting up networks of collaboration and partnership and capitalizing to improve the management of future Erasmus + projects. Students and staffs will keep the profit of a " public-spirited service" offering to all opportunities of stays in Europe. Professionally, this public will better meet the new market requirements and so will have bigger chances of success in their future development.
