Higher education student and staff mobility project
Start date: Jun 1, 2014, End date: Sep 30, 2015 PROJECT  FINISHED

One of the strategic aims of the Fundación TecnoCampus Mataró Maresme is strengthening academic collaboration with foreign universities, promoting the mobility of its students, faculty and staff through the Erasmus+ exchange programs. Studying abroad give our students the opportunity to grow personally and professionally. Living and studying in a different country, contributes to the creation of a community of well qualified young people: open minded future professionals qualified to work in a global and changing environment. TecnoCampus is committed to promoting the internationalisation of its university and has the following specific objectives throughout this period: • Reinforce the structure of the International Office, to better service the university community in terms of information, selection, preparation and monitoring of the opportunities abroad. • Improve the recognition of the learning outcomes of our outgoing students. • Provide better services and support to partner host institutions and their incoming students • Increase the quality and quantity of future mobility agreements • Promote the Internationalisation at home. An action plan has been implemented throughout the academic year in order to achieve these aims, leading to satisfactory results both qualitatively and quantitatively. These include: • Promoting international mobility programmes via our new International website, increasing awareness of the internationalisation plan and helping the university community in the various stages of its mobility. • The creation of the International Committee that makes recommendations, co-ordinates and advances the University's policy objectives. The members are the Director of the International Office and the academic coordinators from the different schools. • Boosting international agreements. 16 new agreements have been entered into, increasing the number of exchange opportunities for our Community. The number of mobile students is continuing to rise. We have increased the number of students who have studied abroad. At the same time, the number of foreign students studying at our University this year, has increased over 90% in comparison with the previous year • Increasing TecnoCampus’s participation in international entrepreneurial-focussed programmes and events. The participation of teachers and students in the IntentSem program, the organisation of the Entrepreneurial Summer School and the organization of the EU’s HEInnovative programme seminar at our campus • TecnoCampus representatives have participated in several international forums such as the European Association for International Education (EAIE), the Academic Cooperation Association (ACA), the NAFSA Association of International Educators and the European Business Forum. • In the last year, representatives of over 30 universities and institutions from 14 different countries have visited our University.
