Higher education student and staff mobility project
Start date: Jun 1, 2014, End date: Sep 30, 2015 PROJECT  FINISHED

Hespérides College is an integrated vocational training center which from its creation, it is firmly committed to the importance of ensuring that students have a working projection beyond the scope of our borders while increasing their awareness and European feelings. The conviction that the best way to convey this concern is that the students themselves are those who find out the range of possibilities in other European countries; it is what makes us to carry out this project. Moreover, in this course they have been implemented new curricula LOE replacing the LOGSE ones. For this reason, we are obliged to provide the CIFP Hesperides with some specific modules in a foreign language, which makes even more necessary the strengthening of teachers in this area. The objectives set for this project have two priorities, smart growth based on knowledge and integrated growth by promoting an economy with high employment delivering social and territorial cohesion. These objectives are: a) Promote awareness of other cultures and countries actively participating in society of the host country. b) Develop and foster a sense of European citizenship. c) Strengthening the skills acquired and acquiring new skills so as to increase the chances of employability in the European labor market. d) To promote the professional development of trainers, encouraging innovation in teaching. e) Establish a channel of communication among students and professionals of different nationalities. f) Increase the skills in foreign languages. g) In addition to these objectives, it has been increased the number of associates, strengthening the relationship with those ones which had been working in previous projects. In the project four students of higher level vocational training have participated, specifically of the professional maritime fishing family. Professionals in this sector are those who have, in principle, greater opportunities to work abroad. With mobility abroad, it has obtained the following results: I. Open in Europe the range of job opportunities for very disadvantaged young people. II. Increase the motivation of all the College´ students and teachers to generate in them the need to increase the professional and language skills. The mere possibility of participating in the project has been a source of motivation. III. Improve employability. IV. Improving the language skills of the participants. With the unique mobility given for teachers, the following objectives were achieved: - Provide them with the tools to teach in English for specific Purposes ( maritime English). - Make them part of the process of European integration so as to be able to transmit this to the students. - Know the different systems and learning methods used in Europe. The realization of this project was carried out through different phases, from its design, implementation, monitoring, impact, to its evaluation. Special importance has been the process of selecting candidates, monitoring the development of mobility, assessing them and later broadcast through briefings. The expected impacts for beneficiaries and organizations reflected below were measured through indicators associated with each of them. These indicators answer questions in the satisfaction survey made by the beneficiaries at the end of the mobility. - Impact I. Increase of knowledge and experience gained by the participants (students and teachers) Indicator I01. 80% of participants from a score of 3 or more to question (1) of the survey. - Impact II. Increase of skills Indicator I02. 80% of participants from a score of 3 or more to the question (11) of the survey. - Impact III. Improving cultural awareness I03 indicator: 80% of participants from a score of 3 or more to the question (12) of the survey. - Impact IV: Improving language skills of the participants. I04 indicator: 80% of participants from a score of 3 or more to question (13) of the survey. Regarding the Norwegian and British partner organizations, we want to highlight their involvement and cooperation for the successful development of the project. Relations with these partners are increasingly close and fluid, enhancing the stability of our projects, the realization of high quality mobilities and our international capabilities.
