Higher education student and staff mobility project
Start date: Jun 1, 2014, End date: May 31, 2016 PROJECT  FINISHED

- The background / history of the project: ITSRA was born from the merger of three schools of social work in our region. These schools already favored student mobility in Europe and internationally but since winning the Erasmus Charter in 2012, activities have increased significantly. In 2015, ITSRA has established a European and International Service with the aim to further support mobility projects of the actors of social action, primarily students from ITSRA that perform periods internship in Europe. During this project, no European students (incoming ) was welcomed at the ITSRA. - Qualitative objectives: From the beginning, the focus is on the interest to discover different practices in intercultural action context. The process of decentration imposed, in itself, an essential learning in the practice of social worker. Furthermore, European mobility is a demand from the students themselves. - The quantitative targets (number and type / profile of participants): In training in social work, the most represented are level III students (1st cycle). They are therefore the most important target group of outgoing mobilities (and incoming). In this project: 3 students in « éducation spécialisée » and 3 students in education of young children have interned in Belgium, Finland and Germany. - The description of the activities, results and impacts achieved: The six students involved in the project have completed an internship in an organization related to learn social work profession. All students have validated the objectives of practice and training. - Long-term benefits: This project has developped new partnerships with host organizations (training sites) and a High School in Belgium. These agreements will facilitate the implementation of new projects in the coming years. For students, the impact is in the educational and human level.
