Higher education student and staff mobility project
Start date: Jun 1, 2014, End date: Oct 1, 2015 PROJECT  FINISHED

Over the years, HIØ has developed well-functioning and long-lasting partnerships within the European and Nordic region. We recruit many of our incoming students within the Erasmus+ programme and within agreements often based on both student and teacher mobility. Some of the staff mobility is combined with research and educational cooperation activities. Our network has been maintained and strengthened through the Erasmus+ contract for 2014/2015. Staff mobility activities have contributed to the professional development of those involved and student exchanges have given students valuable experiences and contributed to a more international campus. Compared to earlier years fewer students made use of the possibility to exchange within the Erasmus+ programme. There was a decrease in number of outgoing students from 11 in 2013/2014 to 4 in 2014/2015. Two of the students in 2014/2015 belonged to the Faculty of Business, Languages and Social Science, one to the Faculty of Health and Social Studies and one to the Norwegian Theater Academy. We have experienced fluctuations in number of outgoing Erasmus+ students before and will keep encouraging Erasmus+ mobility among students. In 2014/2015 there was also a decrease in number of outgoing staff members from 33 in 2013/2014 to 29 in 2014/2015. 13 of the exchanges were within the Faculty of Business, Languages and Social Science, 5 within the Faculty of Education, 4 within the Faculty of Health and Social Studies, 4 within the Faculty of Engineering, 2 within the Faculty of Computer Science and 1 from the Norwegian Theatre Academy. There are many of the same academics that make use of the Erasmus+ programme from year to year ? and that was also the case in 2014/15. Many of them are experienced academics.
