Start date: Jun 1, 2014, End date: Sep 30, 2015 PROJECT  FINISHED

San Fernando is a Higher Institution, located in Badajoz, where, apart from three higher educational tittles, also are taught VET studies, all of them from the Hospitality and Tourism field. We participate in European Projects, since 2008, when we got our first Erasmus Charter that we renewed on 2014. Since them, 18 students and 1 staff have been granted with 3 months mobilities, for the student and 5 days for the staff. Students average age is from 26 to 23 years. On 2014-15 there were 4 mobilities for students internships, 3 girls of Travel Agencies and Events Management and one boy of Higher Technician in Kitchen Management . The staff mobility, mas performed for a teacher of Hospitality and Tourism speciality. The destination of the teacher was the "Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality Management in Opatija" in Croatia, the aim was to get information about the "Zero Waste" program that the Faculty of Opatija has been developing for two years. Compare studies and curricula of Hospitality and Tourism and visit companies for possible future collaborations mobility. The objectives for the students, with reference to the new ECHE (2014-2020), were a vocational training to acquire skills in the European framework to help them face the labor market, also increase their language skills and promote their personal development. The students of Travel Agencies and Events Management, have been in Portugal, two of them in Barceló Viagens TTOO, in Lisbon and the third one, in a Travel Agency in Torres Vedras. The boy of Higher Technician in Kitchen Management has done his intership in Asti, Piedmont, (Italy), at the Cambiocavalo Restaurant situated in the four-star Hotel Castello Asti, (rating of 4.5 out of 5 on the Tripadvisor web). This student used the online language support (OLS) in Italian . The students who have traveled to Portugal, had 20 Portuguese lessons during extra curricular time. They were taught how to move in transports, the specific vocabulary of their specialty and learned about traditions, holidays and lifestyle. The internship activities program, was signed at the learning agreement document and consisted in performing the knowledge the student had acquired during their studies during their internships. The experience for all of them has been a success. They had not only acquired work skills, but also gave them strength to face the future labor market. All students have improved their language skills and their personal maturity. Their experiences are uploaded at the following link, at the center website: https://erasmussanfernando.wordpress.com/ . This is a way of showing other students how it works the "Erasmus Experience", and to spread the mobilities results, so that everyone who would be interested on it could follow it, and especially the center community and future participants. Students as well as to enrich their curricula get 22 ECTS credits issued by the sending institution, they are in possession of the vocational training issued by the company and we are managing Europass Mobility document. On a personal level, students have been fully integrated in the destination, participating in meetings with other Erasmus students and traveling to see the host country. The teacher mobility, long-term benefits tend to engage in other forms of work and other education systems, prioritizing innovation, quality and research projects to improve our teaching and our programming techniques, relying all this is in the students. With the spread of this experience, we want to involve the entire educational community in the staff mobility, to increase their language skills, professional and inter cultural exchange. We are constantly updating our website with all the Erasmus + easily accessible information called Erasmus Policy Statement (EPS).
