Higher education student and staff mobility project
Start date: Jun 1, 2014, End date: Sep 30, 2015 PROJECT  FINISHED

INTRODUCTION By participating in the Erasmus project for over 10 years now, with regard to the Conservatory of Sassari, we are able to observe a slight but significant trend. The number of students and / or teachers in mobility (both inbound and outbound) shows a slight upward trend. Since this is, in terms of numbers, however modest entity (for the academic year just ended we have only a student and a teacher inbound, two outbound teachers and a student outbound with Consortia) for the purpose of a statistical survey we strongly believe considering a period longer than a year is absolutely necessary. CHARACTERISTICS Given the insularity that characterizes our region and the tendency of some of our students in possession of the Diploma Accademico di Primo Livello (Bachelor) to continue their studies at other institutions of Higher Education more "central" than to Sardinia, we consider particularly significant each mobility, should it be a single student or teacher. VISIBILITY In order to give students the chance to learn about other realities, the International Relations Office is constantly seeking opportunities to increase the number of Partners, which is not always easy, given the greater tradition and importance of other institutions of the same level. This is done both through the personal contacts that many of our teachers have (many are those who have spent at least a part of their training abroad) and thus increasing the "international value" of our institution, and inviting teachers from other Institutions of Higher Education to raise awareness of our Conservatory, make it more renowned, the facilities and the Educational Program overall. INFORMATION Every year, for the purpose of informing our students, to inspire them, to make visible the work carried out and explain all the features of the Erasmus +, we put on an information session with the participation of students from abroad. BENEFITS The possibility to participate in the Erasmus program + (as well as participation in international agreements with other countries) has contributed greatly to decrease the sense of isolation, historically rooted in the school population of our region. Being able to share experiences with students / teachers of other countries in recent years has had a fair impact on the consciousness of our students and faculty and the will to be a part of a Europe without borders and / or cultural and social barriers.
