Higher education student and staff mobility project
Start date: Jun 1, 2014, End date: Sep 30, 2015 PROJECT  FINISHED

Conservatory of Adria project for the academic year 2014-2015 is based primarily on a working strategy with outgoing mobilities. The institute has a very high qualified and world-wide renown staff, but the city of Adria suffer the disadvantage of its geografic position, it is not well connected and it is difficult to reach by public transport. Furthermore, the earthquake which took place in Emilia Romagna, damaged also the area where the conservatory of Adria is located: several structures, including the theatre, a very important location where we organize masterclasses, concerts, and other cultural activities, suffered. As the restoration work is in progress, we thought to concentrate instead on the outgoing mobility. This would give us an opportunity to demonstrate the quality that Adria conservatory can offer and to establish links with other european high education institutes. We hope this strategy will help stimulate the future incoming student mobility. We had outgoing mobilities to Jaén (Spain), Iasi (Rumenia), Reykjavik (Iceland), Thessaloniki (Greece), Iceland concerning teachers and in Germany, Dusseldorf and Hannover, concerning students. The students benefited a lot from this experience. The approach with a different culture, the contact with foreigner classmates and different teaching methods made a steady improvement on their results including language skills. The teaching staff held lectures and concerts and got a positive feedback and improvement from the experience, making at the same time stronger the relation with the partner institute, with the hope to strengthen incoming student mobility for the future.
