Higher education student and staff mobility project

The Erasmus Consortium is constituted by one coordinating organization - ASAS and 21 partner organizations as - Higher Schools and Usit Colours Agency. The Higher Schools are legitimate and accredited higher educational institutions in BG, holders of Erasmus for university education (ERAPLUS-ECHE) provided by EU Commission. The other main partner in the Consortium is Usit Colours – travel agency for student’ and youth internship and mobility. The main objectives of the project are: - Providing options for running student mobility;- Improving quality and increasing the number of Erasmus mobilities, aiming student practice in Europe; - Improving language competence and professional background of the Bulgarian students; - Helping Bulgarian higher educational institution in establishment of competitive educational environment for their students and running of internship programs through opportunities provided by Erasmus +; - Improving the quality and supporting the cooperation between higher education and the business in EU zone;- Progress of the cultural exchange within EU; - To improve the transparency and the comparability of the acquired within EU qualifications of the higher education; - To popularize the Bulgarian university education among EU employers and establishing conditions for quality integration of the Bulgarian students in the European labor market. The main activity of the Consortium is to achieve more professional and successful accomplishment of the student practices, throughout bringing together the skills and the experience of different partners. Consortium activity aims helping participants adapt to the requirements of the European labor market, acquire specific skills and advance their knowledge of the economic and social culture of the relevant country within the context of labor experience. By practice mobility Erasmus, young people get acquainted with the requirements and specifics of the common European labor market and improve their professional and language competence, which increases their suitability to the labor market not only in Bulgaria but also in EU. The Erasmus trainee is highly appreciated and preferred by employers, especially in international business and partnership, where possibility for transferring skills and competence is high priority. The Erasmus Consortium in the name of ASAS, will take place of active communication for popularizing of Erasmus+ practices, thus contributing for increasing the number of participants traveling with Erasmus and performed mobility. Thus directly affects higher quality service and number of held mobility. Organizing Erasmus+ practices requires establishing relations and liaising between businesses and Universities, which ASAS can carry through. Erasmus Consortium works in such directions, throughout realizing conditions to liaise between institutions for university education and students studying there from one hand, and from the other, these who need this education – business organizations. With respect to planning, organizing and realizing mobility for the project, partner parties will have constant engagement regarding fulfillment of the informative companies, students recruiting and selection, preparing and organizing of students practices (traveling, lodging, permanent contact and support of the participants) and etc. ASAS fulfills international contacts with other consortiums, policy coordination, research in student’ mobility area and applying of best practices borrowed from foreign experience. ASAS has on its side as partner also the international organization AIESEC for helping The undertaken activities that ASAS realized are connected with an information campaign in the partner organization (all Universities), which aimed to raise the awareness of the students about the opportunities of Erasmus+ program and the project. In relation to this ASAS produced brochures and other informational materials with which periodically promoted how to apply and take part in the program and what are the benefits of it. In all the activities ASAS followed the criteria of the European commission and the National agency in Bulgaria. With close partnership built in the Consortium – ASAS as Coordinator of the Consortium assisted to 97 students to plan, prepare and realize their Erasmus+ traineeships in the academic 2014/2015 year. In this process ASAS took part in the selection procedure, preparation of the set of needed documents, funding and reviews of student’s traineeship reports.The results and the impact from the activities of this project are seen as long-term benefits for the better realization on the labor market not only in Bulgaria, but in Europe. The project influences the quality of human capital – and in particular – it contribute to the development of adaptability and better social skills in intercultural environment.
