Higher education student and staff mobility project
Start date: Jun 1, 2014, End date: Sep 30, 2015 PROJECT  FINISHED

In the academic year 2014-15 the activities in the framework of the Erasmus+ Programme at the Evangelical School of Theology in Wroclaw were concentrated on the organisation of mobilities in three categories: student placements, didactic and trainig visits of the academic and administrative staff. In sum 14 mobilities were realized, that is 6 more than was originally expected. The significant increase of student's activity was observed. The students were engaged, according to the theological profile of their studies, in practical social activities addressed to various groups in need (excluded, Roms, children, emigrants). The activities were performed in the framework of Christian churches and organisations. The participants got personal satisfaction out of these activities. They also helped to perceive the Erasmus+ Programme as a perfect tool for realisation of practical and needed activities for local communities. The academic and administrative staff were mainly concentrated on getting new abilities and experiences during the the training mobilities. Such a need is caused by the ongoing process of the transformation the profile of the school into the practical profile. This transformation is a challenge for the staff and requires new tools and abilities needed in the new reality. The staff during the mobilitie had an opportunity to get to know the way of functioning of the analogical schools in Europe in terms of the organisation as well as as to various aspects of the quality of education and creating new didactic programmes. The new experiences have alredy been used in the process of administrative and didactic reorganisation of the school. It should be mentioned that also the didactic visits of the academic staff have enriched the potential of the school and have increased the quality of didactics thanks to the experiences aquired abroad. All activities in the framework of the Erasmus+ programme are convergent with the Strategy of Development of the EST for 2014-20, according to which one of the main goals of the school in terms of the improvement of the quality of education is: 'maintaining the partnerships with the analogical theological schools in Poland and across the world". The relationships are directed to, as the mentioned document says in the section devoted to the character of the school: "the development and the integration of Christian communities in Poland and in Europe, the activities supporting the ecumenism, the building of the Christian identity and propagating the Christian values in society as well as the initiating and supporting the scientific, didactic, social and cultural activities accenting the Christian roots of European culture". The realisation of these goals and values to a large degree wouldn't be possible without the engagment of the school in mobilities in the framework of the Erasmus+ programme.
