Higher education student and staff mobility project
Start date: Jun 1, 2014, End date: Sep 30, 2015 PROJECT  FINISHED

This report under the Erasmus+ is associated to the project number 2014-1-PT01-KA103-000736 of Instituto Superior de Comunicação Empresarial - ISCEM (P LISBOA58). ISCEM has participated every year in Erasmus projects, once the internationalization is a priority nowadays and the Erasmus projects allow several HEI (and other organisations) to send lots of students for studying abroad and also to perform a traineeships on foreign enterprises. Moreover, the staff members of HEI can benefit of international mobilities that increase the know-how and international experience of each institution. The network that HEI obtains through this opportunities is very rich and enables the development of new kinds of cooperation between partner universities. This project allowed, once again, that the internationalization policy was guaranteed, once that is one of the main important basis of ISCEM, not only through the Erasmus+ projects, but also through several cooperation with foreign universities that ISCEM has been maintaining all over the years. The number of mobilities achieved are satisfactory (9 students/2 teachers/2 staff). Nine students and four staff members of ISCEM had the opportunity to study, teaching or training in a partner HEI, to share different cultures and languages, and increase their personal enrichment. All of them enjoyed each minute of their Erasmus experience and loved staying abroad. There is a balance between participants' gender, and regarding students we noticed a bigger interest along the students of the last/third year, although some of them were students from the second year. The same happened with Erasmus staff in terms of gender, although the departments and areas of teaching were all different, once ISCEM has chosen to give the opportunity to perform an Erasmus mobility for different fields of knowledge, once all of them are important to the institution. Through this project, ISCEM has reinforced the partnership with a polish HEI in order to develop an International Master Course.
