Higher education student and staff mobility project
Start date: Jun 1, 2014, End date: May 31, 2016 PROJECT  FINISHED

THE AMEP is a multi-purpose high school deprived of Martinique, ultraperipheral region of Europe. It includes a general high school, a professional high school and a technological high school. We propose 9 sections of BTS (two-year technical degree) mainly tertiary and have a population about 600 students. We had a use in opening the school on the world with regular educational journeys. But, with the reform of the BTS (two-year technical degree) in personal assistant and the compulsory international training course at the end of 1st year, we have of to set up a real strategy of international opening. So, we had a charter Erasmus, and obtained a charter Erasmus + who allows us to organize mobilities of internship(training course) for our students. Since 2009, every year approximately 50 students of 1st year of BTS (two-year technical degree) for different sections make their training course in a company implanted abroad, some in Europe and others in the Caribbean. The objectives are multiple. It is a question of answering the obligation of international training course of the students of BTS AM (two-year technical degree in personal assistant) but for all other students in mobility, of developing language and intercultural skills, of developing professional skills and know how to make new and also of development a professional posture, an autonomy and a maturity favorable to their personal fulfillment. The awareness of the notion of European citizenship is one of complementary objectives of this project. To help the development of the mobility of the students, we try to develop the mobility of the staffs in a concern of improvement of the skills, the transfer to know how to make but also so that the managerial employees have a better knowledge of the countries of destination to direct their teachings and facilitate so the dumping of the students. These projects of mobility are very important for our students who often have never left the department. They acquire, besides the professional skills them allowing to obtain their diploma and later to fit professionally, a maturity and a favorable personal brilliance. The international opening of our establishment contributes to its brilliance and joins in our project of establishment which makes foreign living languages a priority. However, this opening contributes to other aspects of our project of establishment as the self-fulfillment and the personal fulfillment of our pupils and students, their opening to the world and the notion of citizenship.
