Higher education student and staff mobility project
Start date: Jun 1, 2014, End date: Sep 30, 2015 PROJECT  FINISHED

The first year of Erasmus Plus Programme resulted into a rather positive one both in terms of quantitative and qualitative results. Despite a slight decrease in SMS mobility (323 outgoing students), a significant improvement is to be recorded in the SMT mobility (76 outbound mobilities). Mobilities were proportionally divided among the three study cycles and gender distribution set at around 50% value. A significant reorganisation of the University management and administration structure, which took place in February 2015, somehow requested an initial time of set up and tuning that caused some delays at organisational level, this delay primarily affecting the STA & STT activities, but, looking at longer terms benefits, the new structure and approach will for sure lead to significant quantitative and qualitative improvements in the management of international processes. The international strategy was improved in full coherence with what declared in the original ECHE application and, thanks to a more shared and strategy-based approach, it will be possible to reach significant results in the near future. A very positive feedback came from the activation of a number of double degrees, which greatly contributed to raise the interest towards internationalisation of both students and academics. A further and very positive feedback derived from a wider participation in international networks: this greatly helped to define common internationalisation strategies that, agreed at inter-institutional level, will surely provide longer-term benefits both in the framework of exchange opportunities and international opportunities, including the development of innovative teaching materials and permanent international frameworks of collaboration.
