At Funen Art Academy we strongly encourage international mobility both for the student body and for the teachers. All students are encouraged to go on international exchange or do an international internship. Funen Art Academy has had 2 outgoing student mobilities for studies between programme countries and 4 outgoing student mobilities for traineeships between programme countries (KA 103-2014-018). International exchange constitutes a core in the study here at Funen Art Academy in which we think all students highly benefit from exploring new schools and teaching methods. Our trainees primarilly carry out internships at indvidual artists where they gain valuable insight into the practicalities connected with working as an artist. In other works internship and exchange stays abroad play a significant role in providing Funen Art Academy's students with the best foundation possible for the development of a critical art practice in a globalised world. International collaborations and networks constitute the core of our working methods as we find it to be of the highest importance to work beyond borders and seek inspiration, development and knowledge sharing through exchange. Funen Art Academy has a good relationship with our partner academies in Europe, and it is of great importance for us to maintain and further develop these institutional bonds.
