Higher education student and staff mobility project
Start date: Jun 1, 2014, End date: Sep 30, 2015 PROJECT  FINISHED

B LEUVEN18 (UC Leuven, formerly Katholieke Hogeschool Leuven or Leuven University College) is proud to announce that we have sent out over 200 students and close to 80 staff members, all of which have been well prepared for their period abroad. Example of our commitment in this area is the LEMONOC project which B LEUVEN18 has coordinated and which resulted, among others in an online tool for assessing the quality of learning mobility (www.lemonoc.eu). We are equally proud that we have established a policy (ranking) through which students from disadvantaged backgrounds are encouraged to participate in the Erasmus+ experience. Incoming students are introduced to our university college and to Leuven during the Introduction Week at the start of each semester and we obtained a high mark for academic mentoring and administrative support. Due to the fact that we were involved in merger activities with 2 other Flemish HEIs, KHLim and Group T Education College to become one HEI named UC Leuven-Limburg, we are aware that our course catalogue was not always up-to-date and readily available for our incoming students and international partners which was reflected in their assessment. We are determined to improve in this area in the coming years. The international dimension has always been and continues to be one of the cornerstones of our university college. In this respect, the Erasmus+ project has substantially contributed to one of our international objectives: enabling an international learning experience for every student regardless of their financial capabilities.
