Higher education student and staff mobility project

Ersta Sköndal University College’s participation in the Erasmus+-program is related to Social Work and Nursing. As our students are engaged in a profession-driven environment, with high expectations mainly relating to future work prospects in the public national sector, we try to encourage a broader European and global perspective on education. In this context, Erasmus+ plays a central role for our mobility and networking schemes throughout Europe. There are some obvious problems and challenges to engage some of our students, who in some cases are more experienced and older than the average higher education enrolled students in other disciplines. The tend to give priority to national-centered clinical and field experiences and there are also practical problems in enrolling in a mobility with a requirement to stay abroad three months or more. As a result, most of of our Erasmus+ students are opting for SMP instead of SMS.
