Higher education student and staff mobility project
Start date: Jun 1, 2014, End date: Sep 30, 2015 PROJECT  FINISHED

Internationality is understood as an integral part at the University of Applied Arts. It is not regarded as an additional field of work, but as part of all activities and measures, whether in form of internationally-mixed student and teacher groups, whether due to international composite project networks or by high international discourses in art and science, where the University of Applied Arts not only participates, but also plays a very active role. The concern is to further ensure that the level of education of our university is in line with internationally renowned universities through a steady contribution to openness, actively fostering innovation and anticipating future challenges. Therefore, students in all study cycles are encouraged to enhance their knowledge and experience within the framework of ERASMUS+ study exchange and internships and to function as multipliers with their knowledge and as contributors of experience through staying abroad after their return. This success is shown in rising interest and numbers of exchanges. The ERASMUS+ program has therefore gained high priority regarding possibilities of mobility over the years. Both, in preparing and in management of mobility activities, students are highly supported with competency and professionality by teaching and administration staff. Although the Angewandte focuses also strongly on cooperations with other continents, we only can use the ERASMUS+ program for European partnerships, because the bureaucratic overhead is not at all in a sensible relation to available fundings. Details: In the study year 2014/15 100% of exchanges within the framework of ERASMUS+ were part of the project ?student exchange?. Summarized, it shows 25 traineeships and 43 student motilities for studies with an average duration of approximately 4 moths.
