Higher education student and staff mobility project

The Erasmus + Programme has been operating at Polonia University in Czestochowa since 2014. Within the framework of the Erasmus+ programme the following types of international mobility were realized: Student Mobility for Studies, Student Mobility for Traineeships, Staff Mobility for Training and Staff Mobility for Teaching. Within the given programme Polonia University in Czestochowa cooperates with 25 universities in 12 European Union countries on the basis of concluded interinstitutional agreements. Project objectives: 1.Promotion of European dimension in education; 2.Sustainable development of partner countries in the field of higher education; 3. Qualitative and quantitative improvement of multilateral cooperation between higher educational institutions and companies in Europe; 4. To increase the level of European higher education and advanced professional education; 5. Efficient professional development of outcoming students participating in student mobility for traineeships as well as academic staff and administrative staff members participating in respective types of mobility; 6. Development of creativity and motivation to study among the participants of student mobility for studies within the Erasmus+ Programme. Undertaken activities: Erasmus+ mobility of both students and teaching/administrative staff of Polonia University as well as those of the partner universities. In the 2014/2015 academic year the total number of the Erasmus+ participants amounted 47 people, including 5 students (studying Philology, Economics, ) - Student Mobility for Studies; 21 students (studying Philology, Economics, Administration, Nursing) - Student Mobility for Traineeships; 2 administrative staff members - Staff Mobility for Training; 19 teaching staff members - Staff Mobility for Teaching; 6 incoming students from Turkey, Italy and Spain within Mobility for Studies at Polonia University in Czestochowa. Participation in Student Mobility for Traineeships enjoyed particular popularity, especially among students who carried out their traineeships at the institutions in Italy. Results and impact attained: 1.Increasing number of people willing to participate in the Erasmus + programme. 2. Improved academic performance among students participating in the programme; 3. Improved foreign language competences, in particular English; 4. Stronger motivation for participation in similar educational/training programmes; 5. Stronger sense of initiative and enterpreneurship among the participants 6. More active social participation among the programme participants.
