Higher education student and staff mobility project
Start date: Jun 1, 2014, End date: Sep 30, 2015 PROJECT  FINISHED

Stord/Haugesund University College’s international strategy 2014-2017, aims to ensure that education and R&D activity have a deeply rooted and clearly international dimension. One of the objectives in the internationalization strategy of the university college is to have partnership agreements which reflect HSH’s focus on R&D based education, linguistic and geographical diversity, as well as key partners for Norway in politics, society and the business community. During the last 10 - 15 years the institution has built a strong international network focusing on establishing partnerships in Europe. This is also part of our current strategy, to maintain the network we have established and to explore new partnerships when it is mutually fruitful. The focus on a European network is based on both the available Erasmus funding, but mostly on the fact that the relation between Norway and European countries are strong, both financially and culturally. We do also strive to combine local industry and their interests in Europe. We aim to have institutional partners which cover most of our programs and have fields of common research. Those higher education institutions affected by this project are long standing partners of HSH A total of 14 employees have received support for either STA og STT. 4 of the 10 mobilities were STA. 7 students have received support for study mobility. The students are all bachelor nursing students. Most of our outbound students are nursing students. The impact of mobility, for the institutions, will be to strengthen and maintain cooperation in the years to come. Through staff exchange there will be a sharing of experiences, exchange of ideas and good practice, cross-cultural dialogue and co-operation, knowledge and insight in a new educational system.Participants will be encouraged to share with others what they have achieved and learnt during the mobility. The institutions, students and staff will communicate and share the outcomes, results and experiences, and thereby extending the impact, improving the sustainability and justifying added value through different arrangements, such as seminars and workshops and social media, for example the university college's webpage, international offfice blogg and HSH Intsagram.
