Higher education student and staff mobility project

The University of Teramo, with the Erasmus Project, former Socrates, since its origins, (1994/1995) has always made internationalization one of its main priorities creating an extensive network aimed at an international political dimension which is an essential component in any process of training and research. The cooperation achieved among the five faculties (Law, Political Science, Communication Sciences - with a two-year period in English: Management and Business Comunication - Veterinary Medicine, Biosciences agro-food and environmental and two courses interfacoltà / Inter) and the universitiy partners brought a marked increase in agreements, 290 projects exist involving 128 Universities of 24 Countries such as AUSTRIA, BELGIUM, BULGARIA, CZECH REPUBLIC, GERMANY, SPAIN, ESTONIA, FRANCE, GREECE, CROATIA, HUNGARY, IRELAND, LITHUANIA, LUXEMBURGO, LATVIA, MACEDONIA, MALTA, NORWAY, PORTUGAL, POLAND, ROMANIA , SLOVENIA, SLOVAKIA and TURKEY.. This collaboration has allowed in recent years a continuous in and out exchange of students for study and Traineeship, as well as for teaching and staff mobility. In particular, the comparison with different cultures has opened our students minds towards new horizons facilitating their employability and strengthening self-reliance and their ability to face the needs that our current global world requires. In order to achieve this project objectives, , the greater participation in rmobility by the students was due to the wide flow of information by the use of multiple channels ( meetings. briefings , websites, radio, local newspapers and the constant activities carried out by the Association Erasmus). A committee specifically constituted by the coordinators of the faculties has assured to participants a clear and transparent selection thanks to the support of computer programmes for several years. Students have always been supported has (before, during and after their mobility period ) by means of on line information sheets, checklists and faq.. Support in the preparation and approval of the Learning Agreement has been given by Academic responsibles. The University has a Centre for Foreign Language studies che has always provided free courses of language training (English, Spanish, German, Portuguese and Italian) both for incoming and outgoing students. In coming students may also enjoy the Buddy System project, furthermore the Association collaborating in that project has organized a welcome day taking care of student house assistance. Each participan was guaranteed the full recognition of all the a ctivities he carried out among his Learning Agreeement, a paper which should be arranged signed by the student and his mobility departure and arrival Universities.
