Higher education student and staff mobility project
Start date: Jun 1, 2014, End date: Sep 30, 2015 PROJECT  FINISHED

The last year of the implementation of the Erasmus programme must be considered a success. 58 mobilities were realised, which is a growth of 71% compared to last year and sets the university record in terms of the number of mobilities and amount of scholarship transfered to beneficiaries. The targets set in the financial contract were exceeded both in case of student mobilities and staff mobilities. As per the plans and goals of the university, most of the mobilities (43 out of 58) were student mobilities for traineeships. The programme was also popular among non-EU students, who constituted 14% of all student mobilities, which is consistent with the university's policy of equal chances. Apart from the satisfaction expressed by the beneficiaries themselves, what pleases us the most is the enhanced cooperation with the university's long-time partners, who expressed their will to accept more students from our university in the coming years. This, together with new cooperation agreements signed this year bodes well for future student and staff mobilities. The project fulfilled its task of preparation of students and graduates to work in their profession on the domestic, European and global level, which is the main purpose of the program at our university. Participants also increased their European awareness and increased their linguistic and intercultural competences. As a result of STA mobilities international publications were created and participants from both sides were able to learn about the experiences of the other side in the field of internationalization and modern teaching methods (especially using ICT). STT mobilities contributed to the development of key competences of employees, especially in foreign languages, which is very important because of the plans to increase the level of internationalization of the university.
