Higher education student and staff mobility project
Start date: Jun 1, 2014, End date: Sep 30, 2015 PROJECT  FINISHED

Andrássy University Budapest (AUB) was founded in 2001 and is the only university outside the German speaking area operating entirely in German. The AUB is a Hungarian and international university supported by Hungary, the Federal Republic of Germany, the Republic of Austria, the Free State of Bavaria, the Federal State of Baden-Württemberg, the Swiss Confederation and the Autonomous Region of Trentino South Tyrol. The AUB is ?University of National Excellence? in Hungary and is the only university abroad, which is accredited on the basis of German rules by evalag (Evaluation Agency Baden-Württemberg). With its motto ?Fit for Europe!?, Andrássy University Budapest offers international study programmes in German language. Scientists from every German-speaking country as well as from Hungary, together with students (200) from more than 25 nations, create a unique atmosphere. In small international study teams of 15 to 30 students, intercultural competence is no longer a separate field of study but an everyday practice. Interdisciplinarity is another characteristic feature of the university, as associate professors and students from different research areas work closely together. Interdisciplinarity, internationality and an excellent student mentoring together make up a study concept which demands and supports autonomy. There is a choice of six master's programmes: four consecutive master's and two second master's. Ideal study conditions at a small and young university in the centre of the vibrant Danube metropolis, Budapest, are further advantages. The three main targets of the AUB-Erasmus cooperation: 1.To promote the student exchange, the student and the staff mobility between the Andrássy University Budapest (AUB) and the institutions of higher education of DACH-contries. 2. To strenghten the relation to institutions of higher education in the Danube-region through the university?s scientific profile and geographical location. 3. To strenghten the relation to ?to-be? EU-countries? institutions of higher education. As a long-term achievement of the Erasmus+ Program can be mentioned that the best practices applied in the European higher education can be acquired by the participant of the mobility (tutors, students and staff). They also can profit from the diversity of the European higher educational system. Furthermore, the incoming students spread the repute.of the Andrássy University, as a scientific workshop and unique European international higher educational project. The Erasmus+ scholarships awarded to internship serve as feedback about the realization of educational work. These feedbacks contribute to the further development of the education and educational programs and promote the students? quick localization on the labour market (excellent Employability).
