Start date: Jun 1, 2014,
End date: May 31, 2016
PROJECT
FINISHED
According to the Grant Agreement number 2014-1-HR01-KA103-000038 concluded between the Libertas Business School and the Agency for Mobility and EU programs, Libertas has received a total of 15,740 €. 4,100 € for the student mobility with the purpose of study, 5,100 € for student traineeships and 3,740 € for staff mobility for the purpose of teaching and training. Of that we spent 9,794 € in total - 4,080 € for student mobility for studies (3 mobilities), 4,634 € for student traineeships (2 mobilities) and 1,080 € for the staff mobility with the purpose of teaching (1 mobility).
During the project period, from 1.6.2014 to 31.05.2016, we published a total of six Erasmus competitions. All who applied, were chosen to go on mobility. We were hoping for a larger turnout, but the lack of student interest can be explained that this was our first Erasmus project and students didn't know a lot about it. All students and teachers who have gone on mobility, have done their duties, and we had no problems with recognition of their achievements after their return from mobility.
The goals that we wanted to achieve with international cooperation go in two directions. Professors can acquire and expand knowledge about the latest achievements in contemporary socio-economic global trends, which are obliged to transfer to students, and students can become acquainted with other cultures, business practices and ethics through international mobility and are thus prepared for the inclusion in the work market. In order to encourage international mobility, Libertas enables foreign students to create their own curriculum within the offered courses in the program. The contents of the offered courses and their complementarity and consistency with programs in similar higher education institutions in the country and abroad allow full mobility in both directions, especially because all professors can teach in English.
Key actions were international cooperation, recognisability of our university abroad, mobility of students, teachers and researchers, and partnership with foreign universities and other research institutions. We believe we achieved all of those goals.
In the period of two years, we have signed many agreements with foreign universities, and we had a lot of foreign students. We are pleased with the integration of foreign students in Libertas, acceptance by their peers and managing their stay in Zagreb. We tried to incorporate them into school and extracurricular activities (eg, tours), and we are very pleased that the foreign students feel welcome and part of our university's community.
With Erasmus program, we want to enhance our international reputation and develop successful partnerships with universities worldwide. By enhancing our international reputation, we should be able to build bigger opportunities for international research partnerships and offer all of our students increased international experience and understanding of other cultures.
