Higher education student and staff mobility project
Start date: Jun 1, 2014, End date: Sep 30, 2015 PROJECT  FINISHED

The College of Management, Trade and Marketing has been a partner by ERASMUS Program since 2007. From 2013 the HEI has adopted the new ERASMUS Charter and hence is a participant in mobility projects by ERASMUS + mobility project. The main objective in participating in ERASMUS + program for mobility of students and staff members is the exchange of best practices between the institutions, giving the opportunity of lecturing new student audiences and adopt innovative modes of teaching and training for the academic staff and providing the students with new opportunities for training and establishing contacts. For the academic year 2014/2015 there are 8 people participating in mobility, meaning 5 students and 3 staff members. As far as the incoming people as representatives of partner HEI are concerned, there is 1 incoming student and 1 incoming staff member. Most of the students have proved by record their successful stay abroad, within the framework of the preliminary learning agreement. 2 staff members have visited partner institutions for training (International week in the Ferrara University, Italy and the Catholic University in Avila, for exchange of best practices in distance learning), one academic had teaching activities at the University of applied sciences in Kaunas, Lithuania. All staff members have got certificates as a proof of their mobility. The results of the 2014/2015 Mobility project can be summarized as follows: Teaching activities and participation at an International conference at University of applied sciences in Kaunas, Lithuania as European added value; Exchanging innovative practices in distance learning by studying the platform for distance learning of Catholic University in Avila and by offering an opportunity for a course in International logistics; Sharing best practices within the ERASMUS+ Program in an international environment and presenting MTM College as an institution participating in the program; The students are experiencing the effects of an international study environment, being able to improve their language skills (sometimes, bilingual as is the case in Spain), gaining new opportunities for presenting, creating new useful contacts and increasing their knowledge; The student potentially increase their opportunity to find employment, due to the experience gained through one or two semesters abroad , which is the student added value; The overall impact is positive for the institution, the local environment and at national level, since College of Management, Trade and Marketing is a part of ERASMUS+ network. A lot of opportunities are provided for new partnerships, developing future common projects by KA1 and increasing the number of outgoing and incoming people by ERASMUS+ Mobility program.
