Higher education student and staff mobility project
Start date: Jun 1, 2014, End date: May 31, 2016 PROJECT  FINISHED

Our College has been working with Bridgwater College UK for almost 25 years. This partnership, initially focusing on Food Technology, embraced agriculture in 2004. This cooperation enables students to take 2 exams : the French BTSA (Brevet de Technicien Supérieur Agricole) and the British CHE (Certificate of Higher Education). This training can welcome 40 students with a general, technical or vocational baccalauréat. Students attend classes and practicals with British classmates on College ground and professional premises and develop their professional skills on work placement. Beyond the academic side of this training both in the UK and France, the compulsory work placements allow the technicians to-be to speak fluent English, to strengthen their vocational skills in a different country. Furthermore, once these studies are completed, they will find it easier to integrate companies working worldwide. The 2013-2015 cohort got excellent results for both of their exams (CHE 90% & BTSA 80% ) . Besides the 2 diplomas (French and British), this cultural experience abroad is in itself a real asset. It is a valuable springboard to carry on studying or start a professional career.
