Our exchange project for this year focused on improving the quality of our exchanges including both student experience as well as excellence of the school partners. Over the last years we had a steady increase of interest from our students to study abroad and unfortuntely recieved fewer credits for exchange so we therefore decided to focus on choices of the students for exchange partners and be more stringent in our acceptance of students. Our objectives were to send a minimum of 8 students and to recieve at least 8 incoming students which were met and actually exceeded the student credit but we remained in budget as many of our students went to Eastern European countries which have a lower daily rate. The profile of our students remains the same as the opportunity to participate is for 4th year students either for 1 full year or the second semester of studies. This will remain part of our project as it fits into the schools organisation. We have an equal number of students from each discipline- Art, Design and Graphic Communication, although more of an interest in Design for the professional training funding than study abroad. This year we also worked on obtaining new partners in Anglo Saxon countries and Germany, but had difficulty achieving this goal as the schools do not seem interested in enlarging their partners in France. This is a pity for us as we have students that have the linqusitic skills and interest. This will continue to be a priority for us in the coming year.
