European University Cyprus was awarded the Erasmus+ University Charter 2014-2020 and participates in the Program since its beginning. Year after year a growing trend towards mobility is observed reaching 100 mobility by the academic year 2014-2015. The context of the project involves the Student mobility for studies, students mobility for traineeship, staff mobility for teaching and staff mobility for training. The project's duration is for 16 months, however the starting and ending dates of the project according to the Grant Agreement (2015-1-cy01-KA103-011817) signed with the National Agency should have been 1/06/2015-30/09/2016 and not as specified in the Context Information under Project Details in the Mobility Tool. The mobility of students has always been the priority of the University within the activities of the Program. The main objective for 2014 was: (a) to increase the number of mobility for student study and traineeship scheme as well as for the Staff Training mobility scheme. However, keep at a stable tempo the mobility numbers of Teaching mobility. (b) Keep a systematic review of all Erasmus+ Inter-institutional agreements - both for new agreements and renewals of existing ones. (c) Encourage increased outward mobility and ensure options of study links are appealing, academically viable and well supported. (d) Increased clarity and transparency around process for all staff ? manage expectations. (e) Keep updated EUC Erasmus+ web link. For 2014 the number of mobility reached 100. 36 student mobility for studies: mainly male in gender with an average duration of 5 months. All study mobility was undertaken to Universities holding an Inter-institutional Agreement with EUC. Main objectives for undertaking this activity were the transferring of compatible courses from the host university, experiencing the life abroad, learning and/or improving a new language, creating friendships. 46 student mobility for traineeship: 17 been resent graduates, average duration of mobility 3 months. The objectives for this activity were mainly the enrichment of ones CV, gaining the knowledge of the duties of a position related to the study field, increasing the possibility to a future career. 10 staff mobility for teaching: PhD holders, interested in teaching and networking through the Program. The objectives were based on the interest in enhancing employment and career opportunities, extending professional network and reinforcing the cooperation with partner universities. 8 staff mobility for training: administrative staff in key positions in the University mainly participated in organized staff weeks. The objective was to gain sector-specific or practical skills relevant to the current job and professional development, also to learn from good practices. The overall feedback received from the participants was very positive and promising. Indeed the objectives were achieved. Generally the participation into the Program in any of the schemes is a benefit to the Home University of the participant. Student mobility participants would be the ministers of the Program to their fellow students. Either studies or traineeships is all for gain. Teaching and training participants will adopt the best practices observed/evaluated at the host university and will improve the day to day performance.
