Higher education student and staff mobility project

University of Technology and Humanities in Radom completed in 2014/15 Project "Learning mobility in higher education" according to Financial Agreement No. 2014-1-PL01-KA-103-000270, the Project "Foreign mobility of students from disadvantaged backgrounds and with special needs” according to the Financial Agreement No. 2014-1-POWER-HE-000270 and in accordance with the principles contained in the Erasmus Charter for Higher Education. The aim of the project was mobility of students for period study and traineeships and staff mobility for teaching and training to the program countries, within Action1. Mobility of 86 persons was organized in which 13 students, including 3 students for traineeships and 10 students for period study, of which 5 students from disadvantaged backgrounds with funding from the PO WER. Students of both levels, the first and the second, participated in the mobility, choosing universities in Portugal, the Czech Republic and Spain. Students traineeships were held in companies in Belgium, Spain and Slovakia. All students participating in the exchange gained the required number of ECTS and had full recognition of period study and practical placement by their home faculties. In the category of staff mobility 72 trips of teachers for teaching and 1 person for training purposes were completed to the following countries: Belgium, Croatia, Czech Republic, Greece, Great Britain, Finland, Germany, Italy, Lithuania, Portugal, Slovakia, The greatest number of trips was recorded to Slovakia and the Czech Republic, which emphasizes developing good cooperation links with universities in neighboring countries. The mobility was taken by representatives of all faculties of the UTH Radom, which had bilateral agreements signed. A person employed in the International Office benefited from staff mobility for traineeship. Provisions of ECHE were applied in implementation of the mobility. Clear, transparent and open access rules of participation in the program, as well as equal access to information, recruitment procedure, equal opportunities were assured and all forms of discrimination were eliminated. Participation of teachers and students in the mobility contributed to raising the quality of education at our University. The students participating in the project gained new competences and skills which increase their level of education. The University teachers acquired new experiences and skills improving their qualification which were used in current teaching. Further talks were carried out resulting in the extension of existing bilateral agreements on new disciplines and in signing 22 contracts with new universities, and the development of scientific and research cooperation. Measures were taken, which allowed to design future projects under Action 2 and Horizon 2020. The relevant proposals will be submitted in the competition in 2016.
