Higher education student and staff mobility project
Start date: Jun 1, 2014, End date: Oct 1, 2015 PROJECT  FINISHED

The report reflects our strong academic position within the field of art and design, and our strong long-term relationships with higher education institutions in Europe. With the introduction of the Erasmus+ programme, we reviewed our entire inter-institutional agreement portfolio. The result is that we now have a lot less inter-institutional agreements, but with more relevant institutions. Our partnerships are stronger and more committed, and in general leads to higher quality in project participation. We foresee that the long-term impact will benefit from our more focused commitment to our partners. The Oslo National Academy of the Arts has a very high satisfaction rate from both inbound and outbound mobility. 100 % of inbound students, outbound students and outbound staff were very satisfied or rather satisfied with their mobility experience in general. Our inbound students find themselves well integrated and receive adequate support from our administrative staff. They do not, however, experience adequate equal academic treatment, which we will take action to correct. Some of the results are unsatisfactory, such as timing of grant payments and signing of learning agreements. These issues stem from inadequate internal routines, which have now been revised and corrected for better efficiency. The activities have a both immediate and intangible impact. Immediate, in the form that the participants gain knowledge and experience in direct connection to their mobilities. The intangible impact is of a more long-term character. The participants become part of the international art environment through their participation and enables them to succeed in an international arena. The staff exchanges further enhance the bonds between professionals between countries and strenghtens ties within artistic research and collaborative teaching.
