Higher education student and staff mobility project
Start date: Jun 1, 2014, End date: Sep 30, 2015 PROJECT  FINISHED

The Free University of Bozen-Bolzano (unibz) participates in the Erasmus programme since the year 2000 and in the last 15 years the number of participants, both incoming and outgoing, and the number of partner institutions increased steadily. International mobility of students and staff is a strategic priority for unibz, in line with its trilingualism and its intercultural vocation. In the transition from the Lifelong Learning Programme to the Erasmus+, unibz reviewed its partnerships both from a quantitative and qualitative point of view, and implemented a reorganization and rationalization of activities. This lead to a slight decrease in the number of partner universities and the number of mobilities in 2014-15 compared to the previous academic year (but numbers are increasing again in the a.y. 2015-16). In 2014-15 we had 94 outgoing students, 75 for Study and 19 for Traineeship, and 4 outgoing administrative staff for Training. We received 59 incoming students for Study. The main activities were: • Reviewing and signing inter-institutional agreements; • Organizing the selection, the preparation and support of outgoing students and staff; • Organizing welcome services and support to incoming students. The results and the impact are in line with the grant agreement and very positive, as stated also by the participants’ questionnaires.
