Higher education student and staff mobility project
Start date: Jun 1, 2014, End date: May 31, 2016 PROJECT  FINISHED

Ecole Estienne has signed the Erasmus charter, thereby committing itself to respecting the basic principles relating to all European Erasmus activities. During their first year, the DSAA (diploma of applied arts) students have to complete a compulsory two or three months placement abroad as part of their academic cursus either in a company or in a university. To that effect, they benefit from financial assistance either European or granted by the French local authorities. The internships abroad in first cycle are optional but deeply recommended. To test their English, they have to take the TOEIC which is now systematically required by most companies as a criterion of employment. This international mobility is an immediate advantage for the student: open-mindedness, discovery of other cultures, the extending of certain knowledges and of course improvement of the foreign language level. In the long term this mobility is a lever for the employability of the new graduates. In the field of applied arts, a stay abroad is a "plus" in the recognition of the course, through the CV and the diploma supplement. As for the teaching mobility, it is encouraged because it is very enriching for both parts (the sending establishment and the receiving one).
