Higher education student and staff mobility project
Start date: Jun 1, 2014, End date: Jun 1, 2016 PROJECT  FINISHED

INSA Toulouse is a state engineering school with a 5 years curriculum (recruitment after high school graduation). International relations are one of the key points in terms of positioning and strategy for our institution. Financial and human resources are in place to develop and strengthen exchanges at all levels : research staff and students. Student mobility has been mandatory since 2006 and involves more than 90 % of our graduate engineering students in 5 years. The average duration of periods abroad both for student mobilities or traineeship mobilities is greater than 22 weeks (the study regulations requires for the time being 12 weeks). The distribution for studies is roughly balanced, 50 % of our students are going to Europe and 50% outside Europe. The incoming student mobility is lower and is distributed differently since only 35% of exchange students are "European". Teaching mobility in Europe exists but is very often supported by laboratories.
