Higher education student and staff mobility project
Start date: Jun 1, 2014, End date: Sep 30, 2015 PROJECT  FINISHED

The following is a list of projects and endeavours that our institution has undertaken with partner universities. These universities have contributed to broaden mutual relations by creating opportune seminars and debates to compare and verify common objectives and teaching strategies. a) One of the strategic priorities contained in the EPS is the "Progetto sul disegno": a project based on the historical and contemporary importance of drawing within the educational and creative system of the visual arts in Europe. This project began with the international conference "Concept, Invention, Judgment ? Drawing, the Father of Arts", organized by the Academy of Fine Arts of Florence in November 2013 for the occasion of the 450th anniversary of the founding of the Accademia delle Arti del Disegno and the death of Michelangelo Buonarroti. The theme of the conference was the historical path that started with the birth of the Accademia delle Arti del Disegno, and the consequential founding of Academies of Fine Arts as the official places for the creative, aesthetic and conservative system of the arts. The Accademia delle Arti del Disegno,"the first Academy of Arts in Europe", was founded in Florence in 1563 on the principles of a humanistic circulation of thought, invention, knowledge and the practice of the arts, all gathered under the expression of drawing. The HEIs require a reflection on educational values and methods and on higher education in the field of art as it is seen in its currently as well as its ethical and civil meaning for European citizens of the future. International representatives from our partner universities ?Koninklijke Academie van Beeldende Kunsten, Den Haag? and ?Akademie der bildenden Künste Wien? have brought a valuable contribution through their historic attention to the tradition of drawing. Dissemination: publication of the book " Il Disegno dopo il Disegno ? le molte vite di un medium antico", Pisa University Press. Publications of the program on institutional websites. A first implementation of an innovative activity has been reached with the International Workshop "Battle of Drawing" at the Koninklijke Academie van Beeldende Kunsten, Den Haag, which was attended by two teachers and eight students from each faculty. Mobility: There have been teacher mobilities for the purposes of the international conference, the drafting process of the KA2 project as well as mobilities of teachers and 8 self-financed students for the summer workshops. Dissemination: The event has been published on the social network Facebook, with a profile that managed by the students and teachers, entitled "Battle of The Hague". Results: Comparison of two opposit teaching approaches. Realization of a first didactic pilot experience, workshops and conference, from August to September 2013 with the title "The Mediterranean project: The sustainability of imagination", Tinos Island, Greece, with the Erasmus Coordinator of the TEI University of Athens. Although the result of the application was negative, there took place further meetings with Spanish, Greek and Turkish partners, to redesign a new project Anemos II, eliminating the shortcomings identified by the evaluators. Mobility: There have been teacher mobilities for the purpose of the international conference, the drafting process KA2 as well as mobility of teachers and 12 self-financed students for the summer workshops. Dissemination: video recordings made by the students. Widespread exhibition of the works and photographies realized during the workshop in the centre of Pirgos on Tinos? island. Mobility: There have been teaching and staff mobilities of both sides in order to achieve a better knowledge of the partners? structures and to deepen the various stages of the design of the project.
