The mobility project within the framework of Erasmus+, realized by Wyzsza Szkola Turystyki i Hotelarstwa w Gdansku (Academy of Tourism and Hotel Management in Gdansk) on the basis of the contract no 2014-1-PL01-KA103-000139, involved the mobility of 5 students within three-month foreign internships in the countries participating in the programme. The internships were conducted in accordance with the programme described in the ""Learning Agreement for Traineeships"" in the hotels of high standard in Greece and Spain. The aims of the project were: - practical vocational education of students in an international, multicultural environment, in particular, broadening the knowledge and upgrading qualifications and professional competence - getting acquainted with the structure of big hotel chains of high standard and the organisation of hotel services in Greece and Spain - exchange of experience, both on professional and personal level - broadening the participants' awareness of cultural differences and the ability to build positive and tolerant intercultural relationships - raising linguistic competence of participants (including professional vocabulary) The transparent recruitment process, carried out in the Academy of Tourism and Hotel Management, that took into account, among others, the learning outcomes and the level of proficiency in a foreign language required by the acquiring institutions, led to the selection five Erasmus+ 2014/2015 scholarship holders. Among them were students of different citizenships: Polish, Belarusian and Ukrainian. In the course of project realisation, the Academy facilitated the students' search for work placements by continually updating the base of potential employers, helping them to write and sign the"" Learning Agreement for Traineeships"" (before departing on an internship) and by giving the participants all information indispensable for signing the Erasmus+ scholarship agreement. All participants received reliable information concerning insurance for the duration of the trip and practice. During the internship the students were in permanent e-mail and SMS contact with the Academy. Their progress as regards linguistic tests and courses was monitored through OLS platform. On the part of the employers, the mentor and the direct superiors took care of the students. The Academy monitored if the grants awarded to students reached them in time, in accordance with the scholarship agreement. All scholarship holders completed their internships successfully which led to their acceptance by the Academy by granting ECTS points and adding them to the Diploma Supplement. In summary: the number of positively realized mobilities in the year 2014/2015 is in accordance with the arrangements of the Contract no 2014-1-PL01-KA103-000139, while the quality of the realized internships was highly rated both by the participants and employers - the internship plan was realised and all mobilities were fully taken advantage of. The Academy noted with satisfaction that the participation of students in Erasmus+ Programme contributed to enriching the process of their education in an international environment and developing professional skills, linguistic competence and personal development which led to the increase of their competitiveness and opportunities for finding a satisfying employment in an international work market. The conclusions drawn from programme realisation will allow the Academy to modify and modernise the tuition programme (among others optimize of methodology of foreign language tuition, implement practical classes connected with innovative solutions in European hoteliery) and will contribute to a fuller realisation of the strategy of linking higher level education with the needs of the international marketplace. Within the course of project realization, the Academy started a cooperation with a number of foreign enterprises and institutions offering work placements for the students of higher education institutions, which influenced its broader links with European market.
